Cooling Castle Barn is a beautifully restored barn next to the remains of a 14th century castle. The venue is in North Kent, just a few miles from Rochester and the Medway Towns.

Although the barn caters for many different types of event, they specialise in weddings and pride themselves in ensuring that each of the hundreds of couples that get married there each year has a very special and memorable wedding, never holding more than one function on any given day.

Three separate (but interconnected) barns are used for weddings, all of which are well looked after and packed with character. If required, they can be decorated to match the colour scheme of your wedding. Alternatively, weddings can also take place outdoors at the pavilion with guests seated in the superbly maintained landscaped garden. Seating can be provided for up to one hundred and twenty guests.

The barn's attentive staff will ensure that all of your guests feel welcome throughout the day and evening. Wedding rehearsals are also provided for all couples, giving an opportunity to discuss and practice the ceremony. They are also an opportunity for couples to meet the duty manager who will be supervising their wedding, so that when they arrive at the Barn it will be to a friendly face.

From a wedding photography perspective, this wedding venue is incredible. Not only are the exteriors breathtaking, with the barns, gardens and castle remains all providing wonderful backdrops for wedding photography at Cooling Castle Barns, but the interiors of the barns make for excellent photos too. Winter weddings are also particularly impressive as the barns are all decorated with a Wintery Christmas wonderland theme which I have not seen rivalled at any other wedding venue.
